Israeli soldier David Adamov has become an overnight hero in Israel. Why? Because he cocked his assault rifle at unarmed Palestinian youths in Hebron. Adamov’s actions were caught on camera and posted to YouTube by the activist group Youth Against Settlements. In the video, Adamov is seen talking trash to a Palestinian teen in Hebron, a city in the occupied West Bank, as several onlookers watch with cameras in hand. […]

The 16 Reasons You Need To Drop Everything And Travel Right Now

There’s a characteristic of our generation that can only be described as severe restlessness. I am not specifically referring to the number of friends you have who are prescribed Adderall; although that’s definitely another cultural trend I could discuss in length. What I’m talking about is a restlessness of the soul, the wandering spirit, a culture of nomads. We’ve been bred on this notion that we are going to do […]

A third successive year of California’s worst drought in a century has the Golden State’s reservoirs at record lows. Agriculture has been affected, hitting the local economy, while some small communities risk running out of […]

Ukraine nears full-scale civil war

On the one side, Ukraine’s interior minister said Saturday that military operations in the east would continue and vowed, “We are not stopping.” On the other, there was the pro-Russian separatist leader in Luhansk who announced the formation of an army to march on Kiev. These and other statements suggest Ukraine’s future will feature yet more unrest, more fighting and more likelihood that it will spawn a full-scale civil war […]

Ukrainian troop carriers moved into the eastern city of Kramatorsk, where some residents reported hearing gunfire, as Ukraine’s embattled new leaders launched their most intensive effort yet to try to dislodge the rebels who have reportedly seized government buildings […]

Tourists take in stunning view of Canadian Rockies as controversial new Glacier Skywalk opens in Jasper

Against her better judgment, Chris Gitelson follows her childhood friend, Aileen Sesso, onto the glass floor of the Glacier Skywalk and sits down. They’re 280 metres above the Sunwapta Valley, a canyon with the Sunwapta River running through it, on opening day for the skywalk, a controversial development in Jasper National Park. I can’t stay here. I can’t. I can’t believe I’m sitting out here “I love it,” said Ms. […]

This 122 Year Old Woman Has The Most Important Secret To A Life Of Longevity

The primary determinant of health for the average person is thought. Not genetics, not exercise or nutrition, but the mind. This has been shown over and over again by the scientific fields of psychoneuroimmunology, psychoneurocardiology, psychoneuroendocrinology, not to mention cancer research and all the various psychosomatic disorders that have been studied. If you doubt that thought affects health then I will be happy to have a truckload of research evidence […]
