The way in which we eat food influences our body odour as well as our breath.
Impurities and toxins in the body from improperly digested foods result in body odour.
Body odour occurs due to excessive use of deodorants, but sometimes, it can also be of food items.
Here is a list of foods that make you smell bad.
It causes stagnation in the body. It also putrefies in the digestive tract and releases all sorts of toxins into the bloodstream through the large intestine. This in turn is ejected as flatulence and sweat that reeks.
Foods with pungent ingredients :
Food with strong smelling ingredients like garlic and other spices cause bad breath. Not only bad breath but they are also responsible for body odour because of the sulfurous gases produced when digested.
Too fibrous food:
Gases like hydrogen, carbon dioxide and methane are released when you eat too much foods that contain soluble fiber like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, beans and legumes. These food items can give rise to pungent body smell.
They are good for health but also tend to cause you bad breadth as they are high in protiens. The bacteria in the stomach breaks down to create volatile sulfur compounds like hydrogen sulfide and methyl mercaptan which leads to foul smell.
Too much consumption of coffee is not good as it causes bad breath. It is because of the acidity in the beverage which is much higher than that of human saliva.
Baked and fried foods:
Consuming too much of baked and fried foods lead to poor digestion and excessive belching and flatulence because they contain fats and oil which becomes rancid with the passage of time.
Consuming excess of protien and low carb food can lead to a greater release of sweat in the body. This also leads to unwanted smell caused by chemicals called ketones in the bloodstream.
