Sarbjit’ is based on a true story of Sarabhjit Singh Attwal, played by Randeep Hooda, who gets mistakenly responsible for bombings in Pakistan and is thrown in jail. His sister, Dalbir, played by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, struggles for years for his release.

The trailer of Sarbjit starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Randeep Hooda is out and it’s heartbreaking! Based on the true story of Sarabjit Singh Attwal, who mistakenly strays into Pakistan from his village on the Indo-Pak border and gets thrown into a Pakistani jail. He is accused of being a spy for RAW and for bomb blasts in Lahore and Faisalabad, which killed 14 bystanders and given a death penalty.

Randeep Hooda, known for his rugged charm, takes the intensity to another level through is painful transformation to a starved prisoner fighting for his life. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is fantastic as the headstrong and persistent sister, Dalbir, ready to fight the world for her brother’s release. The film also stars Richa Chadda and Darshan Kumar and it set to release on May 20.
