This Bengaluru Man’s iPhone Photo Of His Wife Just Became A Global Apple Ad!

A Bengaluru couple instantly shot to fame when one of their iPhone 6s photos made it to Apple billboards worldwide. Ashish Parmar clicked a portrait of his wife on Diwali but little did he know that the image would become their ticket to fame.

The photograph is a stunning shot of Raina Nanaiah, Ashish’s wife, in a striking red sari, holding a diya in her hands – the glow of which makes her look simply divine.

Soon after Ashish put it up online with the hashtag #ShotOniPhone6S, Apple chose it for its global ad campaign.

Ashish’s photo made it through the campaign that features 53 photos taken and submitted by 41 amateur photographers from every corner of the world, as reported by Time Magazine.

And the photo is already featured on billboards with Raina’s beautiful face greeting anyone who looks up at it. Here are their friends clicking selfies with it:

Ashish and Raina were literally “over-the-moon” and didn’t hold back from sharing their excitement on social media. On Facebook, Ashish wrote:

“The Apple ‘shot on iPhone 6s’ campaign has gone viral today and my phone has not stopped buzzing from morning with interviews for various press and media.”

In another post, he wrote, “We are over-the-moon to be featured and thrilled to put Bangalore on the map again for accomplishments globally.”
