WATCH: First teaser trailer for Disney’s much-awaited ‘A Wrinkle in Time’ is here!

As teased on Friday, Disney has released the first ever teaser trailer of Ava DuVernay’s A Wrinkle in Time on Saturday at the ongoing D23 Expo in California, US.

The teaser trailer gives us a good look at all the characters including Oprah Winfrey’s Mrs. Which, Reese Witherspoon’s Mrs. Whatsit, and Mindy Kaling’s Mrs. Who.

A Wrinkle in Time is a story of a little girl called Meg Murry, played by Storm Reid (best known for 12 Years a Slave). After her scientist father, Dr Alex Murry, played by Chris Pine, disappears, Meg, her brother, and her friend are sent to space by three supernatural beings in order to find him.

With a polished version of Eurythmics’ ‘Sweet Dreams (Are made of this)’ setting the background, the trailer offers an exciting trip to strange worlds filled with CGI, costumes, makeup, and ups and downs.

Based on the 1963 novel of the same name written by American writer Madeleine L’Engle, the movie stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Michael Peňa, Levi Miller, Deric McCabe, André Holland, Rowan Blanchard with Zach Galifianakis apart from the aforementioned cast.

Jennifer Lee, who wrote and co-directed Frozen with Chris Buck, has adapted the book for the big screen.

A Wrinkle in Time is scheduled to release on March 9, 2018.
