Arts Club and PuSh Festival present Bullet Catch

A death-defying performance so dangerous that even Houdini didn’t dare it, the bullet catch has claimed many lives since its inception in 1613, according to a press release. In this nail-biter, the acclaimed writer and performer Rob Drummond attempts the death-defying stunt before your very eyes. A theatrical experience unlike any other, Bullet Catch features wondrous acts of mind reading, levitation, and the most notorious finale in show business.

Arts Club Theatre Company and the PuSh International Performing Arts Festival present Bullet Catch at the Revue Stage (attached to the Granville Island Public Market) from Jan. 15 to Feb. 7, 2015, Monday & Tuesday at 7:30 pm, Wednesday–Saturday at 8 p.m., and Saturday at 2 p.m. Tickets start at $25, inclusive of taxes and fees. Call the Arts Club Box Office at 604.687.1644 or here.

Bullet Catch has been performed across 5 continents to a global audience of over 17,000 and has enjoyed sell out runs in London, New York, Sydney, Brazil, and Hong Kong.

Rob Drummond is an award-winning playwright, performer, and director based in Glasgow, Scotland. His wide ranging work includes the critically acclaimed Rob Drummond: Wrestling, which took place in a ring at the Arches (Glasgow, 2011) and involved five months of professional wrestling training, and a modern retelling of The Passion, which premiered in George Square (Glasgow, 2011).

In September 2014, he was co-commissioned by the Arches and National Theatre of Great Britain to present a three-act performance, centring on the recent Scottish Independence Referendum; Wallace was first shown at the Arches during the week of the referendum and will go on to be developed further in London next year. Drummond is currently working on a screenplay with Little Kong and Penny Dreadful Films

“Combines the thrills of a high-grade magic show with a profound theatrical meditation on free will.”
