This is possibly the best place in LA to watch the sunset. The combination of spectacular cliffs with the ocean and lighthouse in the background gives it a surreal feeling.

Twillingate, Canada
This spot is close to "Iceberg Alley", centred in Twillingate, Newfoundland. This is the view I came upon when I drove to the end of a road. Such spectacular views abound in the province and in the area around Bonavista, where people speak with a centuries-old English dialect, the beer is always cold and the welcome is always warm.

There is a certain dynamism about the streets in the old city that make them a very lively place. The constant change in appearance as the day spans from dawn until night can be felt through the day.

The Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall represents a unique Chinese art expression in Taipei with amazing gardens and typical Chinese buildings, such as the National Concert and Theater Halls. It is a special place to hang around and have fresh air and peace in the middle of a lot of going on in town.
