“All The Money in the World’ Trailer: Christopher Plummer Makes His Debut

All the Money in the World” tells the story of the kidnapping of John Paul Getty III (Charlie Plummer) and the attempts made by his mother (Michelle Williams) and a former CIA operative (Mark Wahlberg) to bargain with his grandfather to get the money required to free him.

It’s also been a sprint to the finish for “All the Money in the World,” planned for a Dec. 22 release. After the film had already been shot, sexual misconduct accusations were made against Kevin Spacey, and the director Ridley Scott replaced him with Christopher Plummer as the hostage’s grandfather, J. Paul Getty.

Sony Pictures, which is releasing the film, hopes to get the film into theaters in time not only for Oscar consideration but also before FX broadcasts “Trust,” a mini-series due next year that depicts the same case.
