Siddharth’s upcoming film Aval is going to be a trilingual. The trailer of the Tamil version, also starring Andrea Jeremiah, was released Monday and the 2-minute video is intense and scary. The film is billed as a thriller-horror and is said to be inspired by true events. The sequences shown in the trailer are creepy, creative and promising.
Siddharth and Andrea move into a house that stands in the backdrop of a scenic landscape. They find that they have a neighbour who their kid visit. It is only later that they find that the house next door is haunted. It looks like the ghost mostly follows Jenny (Sidharth’s relative in the film), and certain scenes are quite chilling.
From Jenny jumping into a well to coming face to face with a ghost for the first time, it is everything that one would expect in a horror film.
Thankfully, unlike most of the Indian horror flicks, Siddharth’s film seems to have a straight horror narration with elements of a thriller.
The film is directed by Milind Rau, who assisted Mani Ratnam for seven years. The movie is produced by Siddharth’s banner Etaki Entertainments. He has been away from the silver screen for quite sometime. He last appeared in the film Jil Jung Juk that failed to perform at the box office.
