Skyscrapers are sprouting in Dubai like wild mushrooms – the latest project being the Dynamic Tower Hotel that will be the world’s first rotating skyscraper.
Yes, you guessed it right. The residents will be able to spin their apartments and control the speed of it too. Scheduled for a grand opening in 2020, the Dynamic Tower hotel is being planned since 2008 by Israeli-Italian architect David Fisher.
The tower will measure 1,375 feet in height and house 80 storeys that will rotate individually by standing firm on a foundation of a concrete core. Hence, the residents will be able to enjoy a 360-degree view of Dubai. The building will be self-powered thanks to its terrace-mounted solar panels and 79 horizontal wind turbines that will be laid between every storey.
The best part would be every resident being able to control how much their apartment spins with voice commands!
The Dynamic Architecture’s website aptly reads, “How many stars? This ‘hotel’ will be beyond stars.”
But of course, the cost of living in this luxurious abode won’t come without an expensive price tag. Every apartment is expected to cost close to $30 million!
And with that goes several hopes dashing to the ground. *thud*
