BBC’s popular marine life documentary series Blue Planet II is being brought to Indian theatres on May 18 by Sony BBC Earth and PVR Cinemas. The British documentary series was premiered internationally on October 29, 2017. The theatrical release through PVR multiplexes is titled Blue Planet II: One Ocean and The Deep, and comprises the first two episodes.

Narrated by David Attenborough and featuring music by Hans Zimmer, the seven-episode series was filmed over four years and in more than a hundred countries. The series is a sequel to Blue Planet, which too was presented by Attenborough and scored by Zimmer. Blue Planet was sold in more than 50 countries with a 90-minute edit created for cinemas in 2003, called Deep Blue.
