Fukrey Returns song Choocha, Hunny Lali and Zafar make groove to the tune of Mehabooba
After the much loved new trailer of ‘Fukrey Returns’, the makers have now released the first song from the film titled ‘Mehbooba’. The original song featured Dharmendra and Zeenat Aman in the 1977 movie Dharam Veer. The new one has its own set of lyrics and is interspersed with the opening lines from O Meri Mehbooba in Mohammed Rafi’s voice. Sung by Neha Kakkar and Yasser Desai, Mehbooba also has rap bits by Raftaar. With lyrics by Kumaar, the song has been composed by Prem and Hardeep.
Talking further about the first song of the comedy, Ritesh said “I don’t know about the trend as it depends on the film and its requirement. It worked for “Kala Chashma” and for Judwaa 2. Even in Don we kept “Khaike Paan” and “Yeh Mera Dil”. Thanks to technology we can retain the melody while making it slightly more contemporary.”
Producer of the film reveals, “It’s the first song in the film and comes at a crucial point in the narrative as Part 2 starts exactly one year after the original ended. Richa’s lady don, Bholi Punjaban, is in jail and Hunny, Choocha, Lali and Zafar are enjoying life, believing the past is behind them when lives spiral downwards.”
The film that also stars Richa Chadha, Priya Anand, Vishakha Singh and Pankaj Tripathi, is slated to release on December 15, 2017.
