Gujrat Election News Latest- Gujarat Elections-A Game Of Votes: BJP Vs Congress
As Gujarat gears up for the assembly elections, one of the biggest concerns seem to be which party has an upper hand? The ground realities have changed considerably from 2014 General Elections when BJP had a clean sweep in Gujarat. 2015 and 2016 had seen the rise of several caste-based issues and leaders representing the interest of select communities in Gujarat.
However, the point is can any of them qualify to be the next leader and Chief Minister? Well, the sad state of affairs is that not even a single leader measures up to the requirements of a centralised head of state. Starting from BJP, which had to replace Chief Minister Anandiben Patel with Vijay Rupani to Congress where not a single leaders enjoy popularity, the going is rather tough.
Independent leaders like Hardik Patel and Alpesh Thakore enjoy immense popularity but it is only in select areas. Popularity deficit and lack of a dependable personality seem to be the biggest crisis as Gujarat goes prepared for the assembly elections going forward.
So the question is, does it all mean that we are preparing for a hung result? Most election experts believe that the BJP is likely to emerge as the biggest beneficiary of this lack of an appropriate leader and agenda to move forward. The trend indicated that BJP enjoys a clear lead amongst most communities. Congress, on the other hand, is well set to play out its worst performance ever in the state. Even amongst the Dalits and Muslims, which was thus far a Congress domain, the BJP has made considerable inroads. Congress, on the other hand, have failed to consolidate their popularity amongst these two groups.
So as we head towards December and the Gujarat elections, the odds seem to favour the Bharatiya Janata Party comprehensively.
