After the earth shattering success of SS Rajamouli’s war epic Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, Rana Daggubati has once again stepped into the shoes of a hero. While it would be quite a challenge for him to escape the villainous image of King Bhallaladeva from the Baahubali franchise, he has set out to prove his critics otherwise.
His first attempt at doing so, as seen in the trailer of his next film, Teja’s Telugu political thriller Nene Raju Nene Mantri, is worthy of applause. He uses his towering personality and brooding demeanour to his advantage yet again but his inherent charm gets the better of his borderline evil smile.
He dominates the trailer and comes across as a man of few words. He has dialogues only in the final 20 seconds of the almost 90 second long trailer. Kajal Aggarwal plays his wife in the film and their chemistry, as shown for 10 seconds in the trailer, does not fail to grab your attention. While it is a political thriller, the film seems like an out and out entertainer.
Nene Raju Nene Mantri also stars Catherine Tresa and Navdeep. It is produced by D Suresh Babu’s Suresh Productions and is slated to release sometime this year.
