We all have a dream that ignites a fire within us. For some, it comes naturally, and for others we learn to find that passion. To achieve our dreams, we need to remind ourselves sometimes even the basics in life. Here are my 8 simple reminders.
1. Move On.There’s no need to dwell on problems; in fact, you shouldn’t have time to. Whether it’s messing up on a speech, an embarrassing moment, or making a small mistake at work, push it away. Don’t let your mistakes stop you from achieving your goals. Instead, look at mistakes as nothing but ways to improve for next time. Accept them, learn from them, and move on. Since, life does go on.
2. Wake Up Early. The most productive time is in the morning. When the world is sleeping the smart entrepreneurs are up early getting tasks done. That’s why the early bird gets the worm.
3. Read. All entrepreneurs have one thing in common. They read. A lot. Steve Jobs, Bill Gates and Mark Cuban all spend hours per day reading. In fact, Bill Gates even mentioned, if he could have one super power, it would be reading. Reading not only allows you to focus and dedicate some quiet time during the day, but also allows you to take in knowledge of some of the smartest people who have ever lived.
4. Plan. If you’re motivated, you’ll never leave anything up to chance. You’ll have a plan of action ready to go, and you’ll be there ready to execute. It allows you to get things done faster and better. You’ll be amazed at how much more productive you are.
5. Set Goals. You’ve got to know exactly what you want, and with a plan you’ll execute to make it happen. Once you’ve set goals, you’re already on your way to succeed.
6. Seek Advice. Not everyone in life has all the right answers. You’ll always come across a point in time where you cannot do it all on your own. Instead of giving up, or spending hours searching for the answer, just ask. Chances are whoever helps you will enlighten you more than our egos. It’s that simple.
7. Grateful. Be grateful, and you will improve your self-happiness time and time again. Be grateful for what you have, because if your reading this – you already are far ahead of billions of others on this planet. It keeps you grounded and reminds you to stay humble. It’s important to show your gratitude towards oth ers, and you will see a wave of blessings coming back your way. Karma is cyclical that way.
8. BeLimitless. Forget the word “impossible.” It doesn’t exist anymore. You should never stop trying. Pursue your dreams without worry, and without any limits. Imagine where you will be in a year, in 5 years, or even further. Every day, work towards that dream, set your goals, create a plan, seek advice, obtain knowledge, and execute.
Audrey Hepburn said it best, “Nothing is impossible, the word itself says ‘I’m possible’!”
