New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday extended greetings to the people of Telangana on the occasion of their Statehood Day.

Telangana was officially formed on June 2 last year. Kalvakuntla Chandrashekar Rao was elected as the first chief minister of Telangana, following elections in which the Telangana Rashtra Samiti party secured majority.
