Honey

Sugar and Salt water
This is one of the most common and age-old home remedies to treat diarrhoea and dehydration. But one should get the concentration right to ensure proper electrolyte balance in the body.
Curd
Eat a bowl of curd daily, if you are suffering from bacterial gastroenteritis because your track needs good bacteria to heal quickly and resume normal digestion.
Ginger
As ginger contains anti-inflammatory properties, drinking a mild ginger tea and with a bit of honey helps to ease nausea. Honey has antibacterial properties that will help to destroy bacteria causing the gastroenteritis. You can also chew a fresh piece of ginger root to alleviate nausea.
Tender coconut water
Drinking a tender coconut water might help to get rid of this infection as it is filled with vital nutrients and salts that will prevent dehydration.
