Akshay Kumar unveiled the first trailer of his much-awaited film opposite Bhumi Pednekar,Toilet Ek Prem Katha, Sunday evening.
The two main character, Jaya and Keshav, get married but the bride soon leaves as her in-laws do not have a toilet in their house. The husband then takes it on himself to ensure that his entire village gets toilets.
The trailer addresses various issues like gender discrimination, sanitation issues, irrational traditional beliefs – all of it done with a dash of entertainment. The three-minute long video certainly promises to be a good entertainer.
Recently, Akshay Kumar, the National-award winning actor, met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and shared the theme and title of his movie, which reportedly made the PM smile.
Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, Toilet Ek Prem Katha stars Bhumi Pednekar opposite Akshay Kumar. The film is scheduled for release on August 11.
