Whatsapp pay through chat and unread chat delete features from December in India
It seems, WhatsApp is on a roll. After introducing the ‘live location’ and ‘delete for everyone’ feature for both iOS and Android users recently, WhatsApp is seemingly preparing to add another nifty feature to its platform. It is the payment option — with which you will be able to make digital transactions to your contacts. We have been hearing about this feature for a long time now, but now, a new report spills more information about the WhatsApp ‘Pay’ feature. Sources close to Factor Daily reveal that WhatsApp is already working on the Pay feature and is in its final stage of development.
WhatsApp has reportedly started talks with banks like SBI, ICICI, and HDFC for the in-app payments feature. According to the report, it will be a simplistic feature where users will not have to exit their chat windows and send money like they send pictures or videos. The source quoted in the report said that there will be a rupee icon on the app which will be used to make transactions.
Earlier this week, WhatsApp updatedits FAQ page with instructions on how people can use its new unsend featurethat lets users purge the embarrassing messages they sent before their intended recipient has had a chance to read them. But unfortunately, most users still didn’t have access to the new functionality.
This changes today. The Facebook subsidiary has announced in a new blog post that it has begun rolling out the unsend feature to all of its users worldwide. “This feature is rolling out for users around the world on the latest versions of iPhone, Android, Windows Phone as well as desktop,” the post read.
