The first trailer for Widows is here. Four years after “12 Years A Slave” won best picture, Steve McQueen finally returns to the big screen with what looks like a commercial hit.

Widows comes from Academy Award-winning director Steve McQueen (12 Years a Slave) and co-writer and bestselling author Gillian Flynn (Gone Girl). This blistering, modern-day thriller set against the backdrop of crime, passion and corruption.

“Widows,” co-written by McQueen and “Gone Girl” author Gillian Flynn, stars Viola Davis, Michelle Rodriguez, Elizabeth Debicki, and Cynthia Erivo as four women who decide to finish the heist that killed their four husbands.
