Baby totters up and down ledge – at one point hanging feet over 50ft drop

A baby came just inches from death after being filmed crawling along the window ledge on the eight-floor of an apartment block.

Shocking footage appears to show the baby tottering perilously close to the edge of the building.

For some three minutes, the toddler is seen making its way uneasily across the ledge without any bars for protection – at one point hanging its feet over the 50ft drop.

At various stages, the baby goes in and out of the window without an adult in sight.

It is only at the end of the film, believed to have been taken in India, that the youngster appears to be grabbed by someone inside the flat.

The footage, which is believed to be genuine, has been watched nearly 120,000 times after being posted on LiveLeak yesterday.
