God has made all things bright and beautiful. And we humans should understand this fact and must create mature connections with the world.
“A home without a daughter is like a body without soul.” Because, the birth of the daughter in the house is compared to the goddess lakshmi. A girl child epitomizes affection, love, warmth and concern. The above thing is believed by only a handful of people in the world. And that is very disheartening part.
In the Indian society girl children are considered as the curse. My question is how can it be a curse? There will be no signs of man in the world, if the women deny giving birth. It is clear that without women we have no future. India is rising, and in this modern technological world people actually go for the sex determination test before giving birth to the baby child, though it is against the laws. If the foetus is female in the mother’s womb, they choose the option of not giving birth to the baby. As per 2011 census, it is believed that there are just 918 girls in India for 1000 boys. Some are killed in the womb, some at the time of birth, some die due to ill health. At every stage of life she is discriminated and neglected for basic nutrition, education, and living standards.
In our country people worship many female goddesses, however never feel kind to their daughter in the house. This is the downfall of humanity, morality, and the values. The truth, a girl child can be a good daughter, a wife, a mother in the future days. But even after knowing the truth, girl children are treated as losses. Because there are some who still think that the girl child should know nothing apart from the household chores. The position of girl child in Indian society is heart wrenching, because of the extreme desire of parents for the boy child. But nevertheless, we can really do our best to help and improve the lives of girl children in the society.
Steps:
Donating money to the NGO, which provides help for the welfare of girl child.
Campaign must be taken to spread awareness in the society against female foeticide.
People should spread awareness about girl child education. Because a girl who is educated becomes a catalyst for change for her family, and also for her country.
One must create an environment which encourages investments in knowledge and skills of a girl child.
The government has taken initiative in saving and educating the girl child in our society. And at the same time they must show strong political leadership in recognizing and upholding girl child’s rights.
Truly, girls are the pillars of the society. Saving girl child is a big social awareness program launched by the government of India to attract human mind on save girl child.
The possibility of life on earth is because of both men and women. It helps to maintain the social equilibrium in the society.
Empowerment of the girl child with the proper education will bring about a big change in the entire world. Together, we can take small steps to make a big change. Ultimately, girl child is the future of every nation.
